Luv 2 act is based in the Alpujarra mountain range, near Granada in the South of Spain. ACT runs workshops throughout the year for children from age from age 3-13. Through the exploration of movement, dance, voice and improvisation, the young performers learn to express themselves and to understand the basics of theatre and performance. ACT has produced three unique and exciting shows a year, utilizing different venues both inside and out! ACT is committed to inspiring workshops and high quality productions that embrace the diverse talents and abilities of a wide range of children.ACT has also run adult workshops due to popular demand - this is an area we are looking to develop as more and more adults want to get involved too! HISTORY
ACT was founded by Kim Henry and Siobhan P in 2003 ( Both have a B.A. Honours degree in Drama, Manchester University)Kim has performed, directed and produced theatre around the world for the last ten years. Her work has taken her to Bosnian refugee camps, Indian schools and to International Theatre Festivals throughout Europe. She currently lives in Lanjaron in the Alpujarras with her partner and 7 year old daughter and 1 year old son.
Siobhan is an actor, director, circus performer and teacher.She has worked on many professional productions throughout Europe aswell as running community projects, workshops and classes with a diverse range of age groups.
“Our performers are from a wide range of backgrounds; geographically, economically and culturally. Drama encourages them to find the common ground between themselves in a creative and positive way. We are all about developing theatre skills and producing great work and this process automatically inspires many invaluable lessons. That’s the magic of theatre!” Kim Henry.
